Peters, who will be based out of the company's San Francisco headquarters, will lead domestic and international commerce operations as well as human resources and legal. Peters will remain on the company's board of directors.
Peters has over 19 years of commerce experience having served in executive functions for multi-billion dollar public companies Ross Stores, Inc., Office Depot and Staples, ranked No. 3 in ecommerce sales by . At Ross Stores, as president and chief operating officer, Peters drove continuous revenue growth, increasing worldwide sales in excess of $4 billion over five years. During his tenure, Peters was responsible for all operational departments including stores, technology, human resources, legal, finance, planning, distribution and logistics.
