Media Advisory/REMINDER: Minister Oda to Discuss Canada's Emergency Aid Plan for East African Humanitarian Crisis

(firmenpresse) - DADAAB, KENYA -- (Marketwire) -- 07/22/11 -- The Honourable Beverley J. Oda, Minister of International Cooperation, will visit the Dadaab refugee camps in Kenya to hear first-hand about the growing humanitarian crisis there from front-line workers from humanitarian organizations and from the Government of Kenya. While there, Minister Oda will announce details of Canada's emergency aid plan for the region.

As part of her trip, Minister Oda will also visit Juba in South Sudan.

Minister Oda will hold a media teleconference while in Kenya to discuss her trip and details of Canada's emergency aid plan for the region.
