SIU Investigates Death of Man in Peel
(firmenpresse) - MISSISSAUGA, ONTARIO -- (Marketwire) -- 07/24/11 -- Ontario's Special Investigations Unit (SIU) is probing the circumstances of the death of a man in Peel Region today. The Peel Region Police (PRP) reported the following information to the SIU:
Six investigators and three forensic investigators are investigating this incident. The SIU has designated 3 Subject Officers and 8 Witness Officers. Anyone who may have information regarding this case is asked to contact the Unit at 416-622-1886 or 1-800-787-8529 X 1886.
The SIU is an arm's length agency that investigates reports involving police where there has been death, serious injury or allegations of sexual assault. Under the Police Services Act, the Director of the SIU must
