Calgary Parking Authority Announces the Appointment of Its New General Manager
(firmenpresse) - CALGARY, ALBERTA -- (Marketwired) -- 02/18/15 -- Tariq Malik CA, Chairman of 's (CPA) Board, is pleased to announce that Mike Derbyshire has been selected and appointed as the CPA's new General Manager, effective Monday, March 2, 2015.
Mr. Derbyshire's distinguished career has provided him with a wealth of experience that has honed his leadership and executive management skills. He joins the CPA from Edmonton Northlands, where he most recently held the position of Acting Vice President, Business Operations and previously held the titles of Executive Director of Operations and Director of Risk, Safety and Security. Prior to his extensive career at Northlands, Mike was with the Edmonton Police Service for over 25 years and retired at the rank of Inspector. He has also held senior leadership positions with Edmonton Transit and Servus Credit Union.
"Mike is a dynamic leader and an effective change agent. We're very excited to have him on board and to work with him," says Mr. Malik. "We look forward to having him lead the organization to the realization of our short-term goals and ultimately through the successful execution of our long-term, 2015 - 2024 Strategic Plan."
The General Manager position became vacant following Troy McLeod's departure in July 2014, to take on the role of Roads Director with The City of Calgary.
The CPA Board would also like to extend its gratitude to Wes Hogman who assumed the interim role and has been over-seeing the day-to-day operations and leading the team during this transition period.
