ABQ.fm Announces Launch of Smartphone App for New Mexico

Available now via Android or iPhone lineup of twelve (12) stations, with many more to be offered in the coming months, will consist of genres absent in the Albuquerque market. Stations like for top country hits, true easy listening , alternative music of the 80's and 90's on and and popular music of the 80's, , playing hits of the 40's and 50's all fill a market void that CEO Dick Govatski has identified as being largely missing from local terrestrial radio. Launching the App gives consumers up to the minute news and weather, headlines, talk, politics, sports and finance which are sharable and on demand. After the news and depending on the station choice, will have continuous music as well as on-air radio personalities included in its unique programming and formats.
Govatski said, "I've been involved with technology for lots of years and I'm a huge fan of radio having worked in major radio markets as a personality in Detroit, Kansas City, and Indianapolis. I couldn't find anything I was looking for on the local dial so I decided to leverage my catalog of 35,000 songs that I've been collecting for years to share with others like me. With my team of technology developers, and friends in Silicon Valley, I wanted to share the music by specifically programming radio stations for each generation and for missing genres here in New Mexico. Moreover, late model cars are now directly connecting to smartphones and so this technology makes it easy to deliver these features to the market in a streamlined and efficient manner."
