Eight New Members Bring Decades of Experience and Expertise in Medical, Business and Nonprofit Fields to the Foundation

Barco's Nightingales Foundation was established to support the vitality and courageous heart of nursing, while dedicating itself to honoring the spirit of those women and men who choose nursing through its philanthropic efforts.

Barco's Nightingales Foundation's Advisory Board consists of business professionals and volunteers who provide counsel on the Foundation's direction and operations. Its new members include:

Karla Bakersmith, President, Scrubs & Beyond

Laurie Dubchansky, Executive Director, Camp Ronald McDonald for Good Times

Elizabeth Fuchs, Loan Team Manager, Global Banking Group, Wells Fargo & Company

Julie Harper, Sr. Director, U.S. Supply Chain, for McDonald's Corporation

Rob Parker, CEO, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southern California

Stuart E. Siegel, M.D., Professor of Pediatrics and Head, Division of Hematology-Oncology, Keck School of Medicine, University of Southern California; and Director, Children's Center for Cancer and Blood Diseases, Children's Hospital Los Angeles

Barco's Nightingales Foundation's Nurses Advisory Council provides insight and guidance into the critical needs of the nursing profession as well as advice on programs designed to help children and their families across the world. The new Nurses Advisory Council members include:

Tina Cerruti, BSN, RN, Staff Nurse, Post Anesthesia Care Unit, Kaiser Sacramento Medical Center

Dawn M. Yost, BSN, RN, BSDH, RDH, CNOR, Perioperative Services Manager, Nursing Operations and Sterile Processing Dept., West Virginia University Hospitals

"We are delighted and humbled that these individuals, who in their own right already give so much of themselves and their time, would join Barco's Nightingales Foundation and lend their support and wisdom to our community of compassion," said Barco's Nightingales Foundation President and CEO Michael Donner. "There is no doubt that their assistance, along with the astute leadership and compassionate contributions of our existing Advisory Board and Nurses Advisory Council members, will enable our Foundation to increase our impact exponentially."





In 2010, Barco's Nightingales Foundation touched the lives of more than 1,300 children and their families by supporting the work of two distinguished organizations: ReSurge International and Ronald McDonald House Charities® of Southern California. Through the Foundation and the generosity of its donors, 1,208 surgeries were funded through ReSurge International, 98 children were sponsored for Camp Ronald McDonald for Good Times and 160 nights were provided at Los Angeles Ronald McDonald House for families of children undergoing treatment for serious illnesses.
