This week, The Ledcor Group of Companies will welcome the arrival of two new 80 metre flat-deck heavy cargo barges and one 1,200 horsepower tugboat. BC MLA Naomi Yamamoto will be on-hand to christen the new vessels at a traditional marine ceremony held in North Vancouver.
The arrival of the new tug and barges signifies rapid growth for Ledcor's marine division, which aims to nearly double its fleet by the end of 2016.
Following the ceremony, the tugboat and barges will be available for on-site photo opportunities, with dignitaries and industry experts available for media interviews.
