Reliable andµ precision setting of tools with the new UNISET-V basic from MAPAL
(PresseBox) - During precision machining, all tolerance demands on the part with respect to surface finish, dimensional, contour and positional accuracy must be reliably satisfied. One precondition for this is the exact measurement and setting of the tools. MAPAL has now developed the new UNISET-V basic as a modular system for tactile absolute, protrusion and swinging lever measurements specially for the tactile measurement and setting of tools. The tool setting fixture is suitable for tools for both inside and outside machining. Thanks to the modular system, it can be configured specifically to the customer's requirements, depending on the application. It is available not only with different tower sizes and the option of optical measurement, but also with a heel.
Due to the vertical design and the sturdy basic mechanical set-up, it is possible to set long and heavy tools without problems. The maximum measuring range is designed for tools with a diameter up to 400 mm, a weight up to 50 kg and a length up to 700 mm. The quick-change system enables measuring positions to be changed or the fixture to be re-tooled for external machining tools quickly and easily. A high-precision SK50 spindle and the matched linear tracks guarantee a radial run-out accuracy of better than 5 µm with a projection length of 300 mm. Thanks to its robust construction and high-quality components, the UNISET-V basic can be used directly in the workshop. The compact design also allows comfortable working even when seated. The UNISET-V basic is immediately available in various sizes and configurations.
