Medium-sized companies? offensive is presenting innovative manufacturing scenarios in terms of the fourth industrial revolution

(PresseBox) - From April 13-17 the Smart Electronic Factory (www.smart-electronic-factory.com) is going to be presented to industry experts at HANNOVER MESSE in hall 7 at booth A04. Being integrated into a real electronics factory, the Smart Electronic Factory should be a practical in-formation and demonstration platform for Industry 4.0 ? from medium-sized companies for medium-sized companies. Consisting of universities, machine manufacturers and software providers, the offensive evaluates real application scenarios in terms of the fourth industrial revolution. The results are being demonstrated by the involved companies at the joint booth in Hannover.
The Smart Electronic Factory is a pioneering key project to realize Industry 4.0 scenarios, and is oriented toward medium-sized companies. The objective is to realize Industry 4.0-suitabel application types within a real electronics factory and to henceforth adapt these for further industries.
The Industry 4.0 evaluation environment is not integrated into a model facto-ry, but into a real manufacturing site ? that is the special quality of this project. The first concrete realization step is to organize machinery processes more efficient and to minimize failure costs. Currently, machinery, process and quality data are fully automatically captured by Smart Devices and are subjected to a Big Data analysis. The latter one should soon lead into an automatic failure cause analysis, after an additional accumulation of the already captured data stocks.
The medium-sized companies? offensive shows new results at the fair
The initiators of this offensive, which started in 2014, are iTAC Software AG and EMS provider Limtronik GmbH, in whose site the Smart Electronic Factory is integrated to. The project is realized by an Industry 4.0 initiative, which consists of medium-sized German software companies, such as iTAC, in-GmbH and DUALIS. University research facilities also participate, for example the Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen (THM) ? a University of Applied Sciences.

The final objective within the meaning of Industry 4.0 will be a self-learning machine. Under clearly defined conditions it will identify causes of failure and draw up or start appropriate measures to avoid them.
At HANNOVER MESSE at booth A04 in hall 7 the initiative is presenting the Smart Electronic Factory?s technological characteristics as well as the status quo and future prospects.
