Neopost Keeps College Post On Track

Neopost, Europe's leading provider of mailroom solutions, has supplied the Royal Veterinary College (RVC) with , an automated software solution designed to track important packages and documents from the point at which they are dropped off by the carrier to the point at which they are delivered to the intended recipient.The RVC is the oldest and largest veterinary school in the United Kingdom with over 1,200 undergraduate students, 500 postgraduates, 130 academic staff and a further 500 support staff. As a result the RVC handles very high volumes of both for the faculty and for the students. Managing incoming post was becoming a challenge as there was no means of recording and tracking post and parcels that were being delivered to the campus, or of recording the receipt of mail once it was picked up by its intended recipient.
By using neoTrak the RVC has dramatically improved the management of its internal mail delivery process. Once received postal items are now scanned and logged onto the system and the intended recipient is notified by email that they have an item waiting. They then collect and sign for the item.
Speaking on the introduction of neoTrak software to the RVC's post room, Richard Addison the Post Room Manager for the RVC said "The system provides us with a full audit trail, so if there are any issues over a particular item we can account for its receipt at the college, its time in the post room and its collection by the recipient. It's taken all the uncertainty and confusion out of the process, saving us time and hassle."
