Integration Brings Box Connector to Arrow, Appcelerator's New API Framework, & Allows Developers to Integrate Enterprise-Grade Data Into Any Mobile App

Developers will now have access to a Box connector within , the new opinionated framework for building and running mobile-optimized APIs, allowing them to deliver richer and more engaging mobile experiences. One of the largest challenges mobile developers face is the costly process of connecting to and orchestrating data from a wide range of backend sources. Connectors within Arrow allow mobile app developers to quickly mobilize data from a wide variety of external sources. The new Box connector enables developers to integrate Box data into and out of any Appcelerator mobile app, streamlining access to the widely used Box service and resulting in a richer, more dynamic user experience. With the Box connector, enterprises using Appcelerator-powered apps gain seamless access to all of their Box data without having to leave the app.

Arrow, part of the new , consists of two primary components, Builder and Cloud. Arrow Builder represents a next-generation version of the company's API Builder, enabling developers to rapidly assemble APIs, data models and data connectors programmatically or through a visual wizard. Arrow Cloud delivers an instant, elastically scalable cloud service for running APIs and analyzing their use, as well as full support for rich push notifications and ArrowDB, a new schema-less data store. Arrow built APIs can be accessed by both Appcelerator built Apps as well as Apps built in the native tool chains.
