Medieval Times Partners With Operation Gratitude for Military Appreciation Month
All US-Based Castles Will Collect Care Package Donations During May
(firmenpresse) - BUENA PARK, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 04/30/15 -- Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament in Buena Park announced today that it will join Operation Gratitude's "March to a 2nd Million" campaign in support of Military Appreciation Month. The Encino, California-based nonprofit sends care packages to the military. To date, more than 1.2 million care packages filled with snacks, entertainment, hygiene and hand-made items, and personal letters of appreciation have been collected.
During May, all eight US-based castles will host a collection drive. Anyone can donate such much-needed items as old cell phones, scarves, knit hats, black socks, energy bars, DVDs, beef jerky, razors, travel-size wipes and hand sanitizer. Medieval Times also will offer a special discounted rate of $35* for each guest who brings a suggested item for donation.
The collection drive is part of the company's ongoing community commitment called "Chivalry in Action." "We're all very proud of our company's efforts," said Medieval Times General Manager Pedro Goite. "Operation Gratitude provides us all with a way to give back to these men and women who give so much to our country. We urge everyone to stop by our castle with their donation."
