(firmenpresse) - OTTAWA, ONTARIO -- (Marketwired) -- 05/10/15 -- The Gala Les Olivier continued to spread laughter as its 17th edition celebrated outstanding achievements in comedy and offered the public a great opportunity to recognize and appreciate Quebec's most talented writers, directors and comedians.
Our Government recognizes that performing arts are an integral part of Canada's cultural landscape. We are proud to support this ever-evolving sector. The men and women who dedicate themselves to humour contribute to a very important activity in our lives-laughing!
Since 1998, the awards have been organized by the Association des professionnels de l'industrie de l'humour, a non-profit organization that fosters and promotes the Quebec comedy industry and makes an outstanding contribution to our cultural scene.
On behalf of Prime Minister Stephen Harper and the Government of Canada, I congratulate all the award recipients and finalists at this year's Gala Les Olivier.
