Firm Grows IP Practice & Silicon Valley Presence With Patent Prosecutor
(firmenpresse) - PALO ALTO, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 05/11/15 -- As part of the continuing expansion of its Intellectual Property practice group, Dr. William R. Lambert has joined Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton LLP as a partner in the firm's Intellectual Property practice group, in the firm's Palo Alto office.
Dr. Lambert is a registered patent attorney who focuses his practice on patent prosecution and client counseling. He has experience with a broad range of industries, including chemical, pharmaceutical, biomedical, mechanical and electrical. Lambert's broad technical background and over 20 years of research and development experience enables him to work with a wide range of technologies, including pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, medical devices, polymers, physical chemistry, semiconductor and optoelectronic materials, electronic and photonic devices and fabrication, electronic packaging, telecommunications and manufacturing.
In addition to private practice, Lambert worked as patent counsel for a Bay Area pharmaceutical start-up company, where he was responsible for the preparation and prosecution of patents related to small molecules, formulations and medical uses. He is a co-founder of a start-up electronic packaging company, a named inventor on 11 patents, and an author of more than 50 scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals. Lambert served as a member of the technical staff in the physical science and materials research division of Bell Laboratories, Lucent Technologies/AT&T for 17 years.

Lambert received a J.D. from University of New Hampshire School of Law in 2002, a Ph.D. in Physics from California Institute of Technology in 1983, and a B.A. in Biochemistry from University of California, Berkeley in 1973.
