(firmenpresse) - WASHINGTON, DC -- (Marketwired) -- 05/19/15 -- As a leader in the development of adaptive sports and recreation programs, has been dedicated to helping our injured veterans rebuild their lives and accomplish their goals by engaging in adaptive sports activities.

Paralyzed Veterans Sports and Recreation Programs located across the country provide a variety of physical activities for athletes of all levels of abilities. Encouragement and engagement is important especially for recently paralyzed veterans who are struggling to adapt and often feel alone. Getting involved in adaptive sports promotes fitness, social networking and community involvement.

The PSA titled tells the story of Sergeant RJ Anderson, a young man who was transitioning from being a college student to an Army soldier when tragedy struck. A motorcycle accident left RJ paralyzed and his world turned upside down when he learned he would never walk again. The PSAs illustrate how Paralyzed Veterans' adaptive sports program has helped RJ find a new motivation and regain his freedom in an exciting way. RJ also explains that for injured veterans with spinal cord injury or disease, Paralyzed Veterans is their partner for life, assisting as their needs and challenges change.
