The study was prepared by PKF Consulting USA.
The study determined that a standard air travel vacation for a family of four is 62 percent more expensive than staying in an RV at a MARVAC member campground, creating meals together and enjoying Mother Nature's engaging entertainment.
"Camping is an activity families of all ages can enjoy and appreciate together," said Bill Sheffer, director of MARVAC. "It is also an affordable vacation for many Michiganders."
