Barona Resort & Casino Joins International Movement and Pledges Support to the Red Nose Day Fund
(firmenpresse) - SAN DIEGO, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 05/21/15 -- Inspired by a loyal Club Barona member, fondly known by all as Barona Betty, Barona Resort & Casino staff joined her today to make funny faces and present a $5,000 check to the Red Nose Day Fund.
"Betty celebrated her birthday here at Barona a few days ago and we found out she was telling friends and family she didn't want any presents but would love people to make small donations to one of her favorite charities, Red Nose Day," said Rick Salinas, general manager of Barona Resort & Casino. "So, we surprised Betty with a $5,000 contribution to the Red Nose Day Fund in her name. Needless to say she was over the moon!"
The money raised during Red Nose Day, split between domestic and international charities, will be used to fund programs that address the immediate needs of children and young people living in poverty in the U.S. and in Africa, Asia and Latin America. More information about the Red Nose Day Fund is available at .
