IZI Medical Products Introduces New Positioning Devices for Radiation Therapy

Leveraging its established manufacturing and sales success over the past decade, IZI Medical Products brings the new Thermaplastic Mask and MOLDCARE Pillow to market to stabilize the head, neck and shoulder during radiation therapy procedures.
The new Thermaplastic Mask from IZI Medical Products is available as an "S" or "U" frame in various sizes and thicknesses to accommodate the head and neck, and in some configurations, the shoulder area as well. Prior to treatment, technicians soak the flat sheets that are then molded to create a customized fit for each patient. Once fitted, the Thermaplastic locks onto the treatment table and can be reused for the patient throughout the course of treatment. Two variations of the Thermaplastic Mask are available including a standard reinforced white mask, as well as a mask reinforced with Klarity Green®, a material that ensures rigid and stable positioning for precise treatment once the mask has been stretched over the face.
IZI Medical Products' new MOLDCARE Pillow provides stable placement of the head during treatment and increases patient comfort. Available in six sizes, the MOLDCARE Pillow is routinely used concurrently with the Thermaplastic Mask to provide precise patient positioning.
