Phuc Doan Nguyen and Luis Alberto Simas arrested

The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) announced today the arrests of Phuc Doan Nguyen and Luis Alberto Simas who were featured on the "Wanted by the CBSA" list.

Nguyen is inadmissible to Canada for serious criminality for multiple convictions of possession of property obtained by crime and theft under $5,000. Additionally, he has been convicted of breaking and entering with intent to commit an indictable offence, discharging a firearm, and possession of instruments for breaking into coin devices. He was arrested by the Toronto Immigration Task Force (ITF) after a 20-month investigation.

Simas, who was arrested by the Toronto Police Service at a private residence in Toronto, is inadmissible to Canada for serious criminality following a conviction for robbery. He has also been convicted of assault and breaking and entering.
