(PresseBox) - The HighLight 1000FL is the first member of Coherent's fiber laser family. All critical components in the laser including the pump diodes, optics and active fibers are developed in house. Coherent is one of the few vendors of fiber lasers being completely vertically integrated. The HighLight fiber lasers are based on field proven and reliable diode technology and differentiate from competitors by its modular design. It simplifies integration of the laser and due to the modular concept it allows for field serviceability options in the field. The laser is equipped with a connector for the 50-200µm delivery fiber as a standard feature, which simplifies installation and maintenance. The beam quality is optimized for cutting and welding of thin sheet metal. When cutting high reflective materials like copper or brass, no protection against back reflection is required.
