Schneider-Kreuznach aims to speed up production
(PresseBox) - Schneider-Kreuznach has completely reorganized its production. From now on, purchasing, procurement and production will be more closely interlinked and aligned to the overall manufacturing process. In addition to quality and costs, strict adherence to delivery schedules will be given priority. ?We have intensified our focus on the growing industrial sector and optimized our processes to enable us to deliver faster and more reliably overall,? said Wolfgang Selzer, CEO of Schneider-Kreuznach responsible for this area. Industrial customers have different expectations than photographers and cinema operators, who traditionally buy the company?s camera and projection lenses and filters. Schneider-Kreuznach aims to further expand the development and manufacture of products for industrial applications in future ? in many cases a project business with fluctuating demand. By reorganizing its processes, the company is allowing for the high time pressure in the industrial sector as well as for the increasing complexity of individual products. Schneider-Kreuznach intends to gain a competitive edge with shorter lead times and greater flexibility. A sales initiative is expected to follow.
