App Update for controlling hosted dedicated servers on Android smartphones
The hosting company EUserv (www.euserv.com) provides a new version of its Android App.
The update brings useful functions for server administrators in the range of administration and
monitoring. The App is thus increasingly becoming a mobile command center for dedicated
servers hosted at EUserv.
(firmenpresse) - Traffic Monitoring and Availability
In addition to the display of network traffic in form of daily, weekly, monthly and yearly graphics, the App has been extended to a live availability check to give the user the possibility to view the current status of their server. Retrievable data include the status of the power supply, availability of the server via ping (ICMP) over IPv4 and IPv6, as well as SSH.
Reboot and Reinstall
If a reboot of the server is necessary, the user can initiate the reboot directly in the App without having to login in the EUserv customer panel. Similarly, a complete installation of the server, on the basis of an extensive operating system selection, is possible.
Feedback and Support Module
Direct communication without extra e-mail program is possible via the support module within the App. Thus, the user can contact the EUserv customer support directly. Status and support data can be retrieved automatically via the App.
Status of contract processing, Domain Check and Order
In addition, the status of contract processing has been visualized by a simple traffic light system. The network configuration and more server data such as operating system details can also be viewed. The previous functions like checking and ordering domain names and webspace are still included. Domains can be registered directly via the App. For the availability check of domains a user registration is not required. Prerequisite for using the App on a smartphone or tablet is an internet connection and at least Android version 2.1..The App is available for free in the Google Play Store : http://go.euserv.org/1D
