Paralymp Medical Launches Pre-Sale of the 3D Bionic Prostheses
(firmenpresse) - Tallahassee - In a world full of war and accidents it is unfortunately not uncommon to lose a bodypart forever, especially in Third World cultures where prostheses are unaffordable for the large majority.
The board of Paralymp Medical Inc. started researching more cost-effective alternatives by using 3D printing 4 years ago and developed an innovative approach to make bionic prostheses available to the public.
As announced at the press conference held on 2nd June, the Paralymp Medical Inc. board officially launched the pre-sale of all types of prostheses regarding arms/legs (including toes and fingers) and the international sales department is now ready to take orders. "This is a major step into the right direction to revolutionize the health care and medical industry by making a really expensive but important product affordable to the average man and even more importantly: The average kid", a spokesman of Paralymp Medical Inc. said.
The process is easy but effective: By using the 3D printing technology the R&D department of Paralymp is able to manufacture successive layers of the body part in order to wire it with the technological parts. The thermoplastics and alloys used in the production are sustainable and the 3D prostheses last a lifetime.
Previously the company announced that the 3D prostheses should be sold in Europe, Asia and Africa as well. These expansion plans were confirmed again by the board.
