Support for the Research, Production and Circulation of Trench Art Exhibition

Government of Canada provides funding for the Moose Jaw Museum & Art Gallery

The Government of Canada is providing $135,937 to the Moose Jaw Museum & Art Gallery to produce and circulate a travelling exhibition of trench art produced by Canadian and other allied soldiers during the First and Second World Wars. The trench art displayed in the exhibition will include folk art and crafts created by soldiers as mementos of war and as rehabilitation therapy for the wounded.

Ray Boughen, Member of Parliament (Palliser), made this announcement today on behalf of the Honourable Shelly Glover, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages.
