(PresseBox) - Ústí nad Labem, Czech Republic: Pierburg's Czech plant, Pierburg, s.r.o., recently received PSA's Best Plant Award 2015 for the exceptional product and delivery quality of an exhaust-gas recirculation (EGR) module complete with bypass and cooler. The French OEM's award recognizes outstanding supplier performance.
The award was presented at a ceremony on the occasion of this year's PSA Peugeot Citroën Supplier Days in Poissy, France. Dr. Andreas Müller, President of Pierburg s.r.o., accepted the award together with Rémi Robin, Sales Manager, Pierburg France.
Müller is delighted: "This quality award puts us in the top four percent of PSA suppliers. On such a high-volume project it is a particular achievement to fulfil all the award criteria and to be rewarded in this form. We are very proud and will continue to do our utmost to maintain this high level."
Robin adds: "This award is an incentive for Pierburg to continue to be a reliable PSA supplier in Europe. But it is our goal to also accompany this OEM on its expansion course in China, where EGR valves have an important role to play in the fuel efficiency of future gasoline engine generations."
Pierburg's Czech location employs a workforce of over 350. The plant manufactures emission reduction and air management products. In 2014, around two million EGR modules and over two-and-a-half million solenoid valves were made here.
