The Winners of "George Enescu" International Festival and Competition at Ravello Festival 2015
Ravello Festival is one of the most prestigious cultural events in Italy and Europe, bringing together each year, in its rich program, the major orchestras, ensembles and artists in the world, alternating performances of symphonic and chamber repertoire, jazz and pop, dance and theater.
(firmenpresse) - Tuesday, 11th of August, on the stage of the prestigious Ravello Festival - unique and exceptional artistic event in the Italian and European cultural landscape - the winners of "George Enescu" International Festival and Competition, 2014 edition, will make their debut in the frame of the traditional Dawn concert: Josu de Solaun (piano), Stefan Tarara (violin) and Eun-Sun Hong (cello) will be accompanied by "La Fenice" Philharmonic Orchestra from Venice, under the direction of Maestro Alvise Casellati. The concert represents the first collaboration between the two European major festivals and is part of a broader promotion project of the young winners of "George Enescu" Festival and Competition at international level.

The event is held under the patronage of the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs through the Embassy of Romania in Italy and organized by Solèart Management in collaboration with Ravello Festival and “George Enescu” International Festival and Competition In partnership with Romanian Institute of Culture and Humanistic Research in Venice and sponsored by Alina Bancila Artist
Josu De Solaun has attended the courses of the prestigious Manhattan School of Music in New York. He has performed in many concerts in Bucharest (Romanian Athenaeum), Saint Petersburg (Mariinsky Theatre), Washington, DC (Kennedy Center), New York (Carnegie Hall, the Metropolitan Opera), Princeton (Taplin Hall), London (Southbank Centre), Paris (Salle Cortot), Leipzig (Schumann Haus), Taipei (Novel Hall), Mexico City (Silvestre Revueltas Hall), Prague (Nostitz Palace), Rome (Academia de España), Menton (International de Musique). He has also performed at the Mariinsky Theatre accompanied by the Mariinsky Theatre Orchestra of St. Petersburg, Metropolitan Opera with the American Ballet Theatre Orchestra of New York, Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York accompanied by Sioux City Symphony Orchestra.
Stefan Tarara has attended the courses of violin of the University of Music in Zurich under the guidance of Zakhar Bron. In 2007 has made his debut at the Beijing Concert Hall along with the China National Symphony Orchestra under the direction of En Shao, being highly appreciated by the public and critics. Stefan has performed in many concerts as soloist at: Salzburg Festival 2005, “Schleswig-Holstein” Music Festival, “The Next Generation II” International Festival, Music Festival Salzburg 2005, Dilsberger Festival, Heidelberg Spring. He has been invited to play in the opening of EXPO 2000 - Hannover, in Paris with the “European Youth Festival of the Arts”, Weimar, Madrid, Lisbon, Paris (Salle Pleyel and Salle Gaveau), Mannheim (Rose Garden, Stamitz and Mozart Halls), Berlin Philharmonic Hall. In 2009, he has performed with Israel Chamber Orchestra conducted by maestro Roni Porat at Haifa, Kfar Saba and Tel Aviv. Starting with the season 2010/11 Stefan is concert maestro of Mannheim Philharmonic Orchestra and since 2011 concert maestro and soloist of Hulencourt Soloist Chamber Orchestra.
Eun-Sun Hong, originally from Seoul, has started to study the cello at the age of 9. At present she attends the courses of the prestigious Hochschule für Musik “Hanns Eisler” in Berlin. Eun-Sun has won numerous awards in prestigious international competitions such as: International Penderecki Cello Competition from Cracovia, International Tchaikovsky Competition for Young Musicians, Gaspar Cassado Cello Competition, El Primer Palau. She has performed in numerous recitals at: Victoria Hall - Geneva, Wigmore Hall - London, Romanian Athenaeum - Bucharest, Palau de la Musica Catalana - Barcelona, Théâtre des Champs-Élysées - Paris, KBS (Korean Broadcasting System) Halland Seoul Arts Center. As a soloist she has performed with prestigious orchestras like: Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra, Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, George Enescu Philharmonic Orchestra, Russian Philharmonic Orchestra, Kuopio Symphony Orchestra, Korean Chamber Orchestra, Minsk Chamber Orchestra.
Alvise Casellati is Resident Conductor of “Carlo Felice” Opera Theatre of Genoa and Director of Ensemble Opera Studio, a laboratory of young singers of great talent selected worldwide, over more than 700 voices, to be the resident singers of the Teatro Carlo Felice. He has graduated as a Maestro of Violin under Guido Furini in the Music Conservatory of Padova "C. Pollini", his native city. After exploring conducting at the Musik Hoschschule in Vienna and at the Juilliard School of Music in New York, he was mentored by Piero Bellugi and further specialized with Colin Metters, Korchmar and Nicotra. His debut in Italy was at Teatro La Fenice in Venice with the Orchestra and Choir of Teatro La Fenice to celebrate the 150th Anniversary of the Unity of Italy, in March 2011, and was invited the following year at Teatro Malibran in Venice. He has also conducted the Orchestra of the Teatro Carlo Felice of Genoa, the Orchestra and Choir of the Arena di Verona, the Orchestra and Choir of Teatro Verdi of Trieste, I Pomeriggi Musicali Orchestra (Milan), the Haydn Orchestra (Trento & Bolzano), the Orchestra of Padova and Veneto, I Virtuosi Italiani, the Orchestra Filarmonica of Turin, the Philharmonic Orchestra of Salerno (Teatro Verdi), the State Orchestra of St. Petersburg, the Liepaja Symphony Orchestra, the Orquesta Municipal di Mar Del Plata (Argentina), the New York Chamber Virtuosi at Lincoln Center (New York), the Orchestra Provincia of Bari, the Orchestra Sinfonica Abruzzese, the Symphnonic Orchestra of Sanremo etc. He is President and Founder of the Venetian Community of New York, Founder of "La Fondazione NY" and he was Secretary and Managing Director of FIAC (Foundation for Italian Art and Culture), non-profit foundation to promote Italian art and culture in the United States.
