Kesko plans to merge Kesko Food Ltd and Rautakesko Ltd with the Group's parent
company
Kesko is planning to merge its subsidiaries Kesko Food Ltd and Rautakesko Ltd
with Kesko Corporation as part of the Group structure simplification.
In the stock exchange release of 27 May 2015 concerning the new strategy Kesko
said that Kesko Group would immediately start planning to simplify the legal
structure. Merging the two largest division parent companies in terms of net
sales with the Group's parent company would be a step forward in implementing
the strategy for a more unified Kesko. At the same time, some of Kesko Food
Ltd's and Rautakesko Ltd's subsidiaries are also planned to be merged with the
Group's parent company.
In June and July, mergers of certain other companies, mainly providing Group
services, and those of real estate companies have also been initiated in Kesko
Group.
