New name - more benefits: Choice Hotels Scandinavia relaunches club card
(Thomson Reuters ONE) -
(Oslo, 1 September 2010) Choice Hotels has given its frequent guest programme a
facelift, and is relaunching it under the name Nordic Choice Club. The revamped
programme offers a number of new benefits.
"Developing products and concepts for the future starts with the guest and their
expressed needs and preferences. Our frequent guest programme, Nordic Choice
Club, is key to this development," says Petter A. Stordalen, owner and chairman
of Choice Hotels Scandinavia.
In addition to hotels within the Choice chains, Nordic Choice Club members can
now use the card at hotels like Nordic Sea and Nordic Light, as well as the
independent hotels Copperhill Mountain Lodge, Yasuragi Hasseludden,
Stenungsbaden Yacht Club, Selma Spa and Farris Bad. The name change requires no
action on the part of existing members. The Choice Club card will work as before
- but with additional benefits. When the card expires membership will be renewed
in the new Nordic Choice Club.
"Frequent guest programmes are an integral part of the service experience.
Nordic Choice Club enables us to develop a relationship with each guest in a far
better way than the individual hotels could do on their own. With Nordic Choice
Club we will show our guests that we take our loyalty programme seriously," says
Mr Stordalen.
Nordic Choice Club is the largest hotel guest programme in the Nordic region,
with over 450,000 members. 25 per cent of all bookings with Choice Hotels are
made through Nordic Choice Club. Choice Hotels Scandinavia is therefore working
continuously to extend the programme to new partners. Nordic Choice Club has
recently embarked on a collaboration with Hertz and Avis, enabling members to
earn and use bonus points in connection with car rentals. From later in
September members will also be able to earn bonus points on all purchases made
using Nordic Choice Club MasterCard.
"I don't believe in loyalty programmes that promise four crystal glasses or an
espresso machine after every hundredth visit. A good frequent guest programme is
about getting closer to the visitor, and meeting the needs they have there and
then. This means finding relevant partners and rewarding loyal customers
generously. We do everything we can to ensure that our members enjoy the best
overall terms and conditions," says Mr Stordalen in conclusion.
