Meet One-on-One With FIU's Purchasing Team
(firmenpresse) - MIAMI, FL -- (Marketwired) -- 08/14/15 -- The Southern Florida Minority Supplier Development Council (), also known as the Gateway Council, is inviting the minority business community of South Florida to attend the Florida International University (FIU) Vendor Opportunity PowerNet on Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at FIU Biscayne Bay Campus located on 3000 NE 151 Street, Miami FL 33181.
The FIU Vendor Opportunity PowerNet starts at 8:30am and is a free event. During the FIU Vendor Opportunity PowerNet, attendees will be able to learn about all the commodities FIU is purchasing and they will be able to meet with FIU's purchasing team. The Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at FIU will be in attendance to present a workshop, along with providing a 1 on 1 business consultation to the participants. provides a team of highly knowledgeable business consultants to offer confidential, no-cost advising to entrepreneurs and business owners looking to grow.
Pursuant to FIU's policy and guidelines, the Small and Minority Business Program (S/MBP) is responsible for ensuring equal opportunities in business contracting for all small business enterprises (SBE), including disadvantaged business enterprises (DBE), women-owned business enterprises (WBE), HubZone business enterprises and disabled veterans business enterprises (DVBE).
