The HESCH multifunctional controller? the alternative to a complex PLC system
(PresseBox) - The flexible multifunctional controller is an intelligent controller - and not only for thermal processes. It is just as suitable for use in freezers, smelting furnaces or holding furnaces as for use as a process computer or in pump control. This is because, unlike conventional controllers, the multifunctional controller can even control complex sequences in the process industry. The new multifunctional controller thereby closes the gap between a standard controller and a frequently overdesigned PLC.
Multifunctional controller reduces required manpower and costs
The multifunctional controller is a jackpot for any process engineer. Writing source code is a thing of the past. Nowadays the engineers can, using the software associated with the product, generate, optimise and monitor complex sequence controls themselves - with no programming knowledge. Thanks to the tool with a diverse function block library and the well-known 'drag and drop' technique, configuration on the PC is as easy as connecting together toy building blocks. Support by means of an external PLC programmer and the related disclosure of in-house process details are not needed for this. In this way, the multifunctional controller safeguards business know-how and reduces the manpower and costs required for configuration of the overall system.

Industrial processes - whether food manufacturing or steel production - are extremely complex owing to their numerous and above all completely different ancillary processes. The multifunctional controller has the appropriate function block libraries for (nearly) all these processes and is therefore an advanced support for a process engineer's daily tasks. It therefore permits the straightforward modelling of all sequences - without PLC and its associated additional expenditure in terms of time, manpower and costs.
