(firmenpresse) - TORONTO, ONTARIO -- (Marketwired) -- 08/20/15 -- Phoenix Canada Oil Company Limited (TSX VENTURE: PCO)(OTCBB: PHXCF) today announces the appointment of Dr. Charlotte Moore Hepburn, MD, FRCPC, FAAP to the Board of Directors.
In the seven months preceding the recent death of Mr. S. Donald Moore, the long-time President, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of Phoenix Canada Oil Company Ltd, Dr. Moore Hepburn had been retained by Mr. Moore to serve as Special Assistant to the President. In that capacity, she had unrestricted access to Mr. Moore and to all aspects of the Company's continuing operations and future directions.
Dr. Moore Hepburn is a graduate of Princeton University, and the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. She completed post-graduate studies at Harvard University, and has completed executive and leadership training at Harvard Business School, Harvard Kennedy School of Government and the London Business School. A practicing physician, she has extensive experience in policy, planning and organizational change.
In addition to her role on the Board of Directors, Dr. Moore Hepburn was appointed to the Company's Audit Committee, and will serve as the Company's Interim Chief Executive Officer, pending the appointment of a permanent replacement.
