Lean Healthcare and Quality Management Leader, Entrepreneur to Advise Ryan Search & Consulting
(firmenpresse) - FRANKLIN, TN -- (Marketwired) -- 09/29/15 -- Franklin-based Ryan Search & Consulting has named Charles Hagood to its Board of Advisors.
An Affiliate-Advisor with Nashville private equity and venture capital firm Clayton & Associates, Hagood will guide company principal Dan Ryan in further growing the five-year-old firm. Ryan Search provides talent acquisition and talent development services to clients in the architecture, engineering, construction, manufacturing, healthcare, c-store and economic development fields.

In addition to his work with Clayton & Associates, Hagood is president and founder of hG4 Solutions, a Nashville process improvement consultancy, and former president, strategic advisor and founder of Healthcare Performance Partners (HPP). In that role, he has overseen the introduction and implementation of Lean healthcare and quality management systems in more than 400 hospitals throughout the U.S, Canada, and Great Britain.
He is also principal of HPPLHW, LLC, a company offering Lean training products and services, and serves on the faculty at Belmont University (healthcare management and Lean healthcare management) and Union University (organizational leadership and management) as an adjunct professor.
In 2004, he founded the Lean Healthcare Exchange, a periodical addressing safety, quality and efficiency issues, and served as its editor for almost a decade. He was also a founding principal and past CEO of The Access Group, LLC (TAG), a project engineering and manufacturing consulting firm, and TAG Design Services, an architectural and design firm. Additionally, he spent eleven years as an industrial engineer, program manager and team leader with Textron Corporation.
Hagood is co-author of the Shingo Prize-winning book, Lean-Led Hospital Design: Creating the Efficient Hospital of the Future, and author of numerous other publications. He has overseen the application of Lean methodologies into the planning, design and construction phases of a wide range of clinical and hospital renovation and construction projects.
Hagood received his M.B.A. from Belmont University's Massey School of Business and is also founding faculty member of the Belmont University Lean Healthcare Certificate Program. In 2013, he was selected a Nashville Healthcare Hero by the Nashville Business Journal. He is currently pursuing his Doctorate in Health Services at the University of Alabama Birmingham.
