Selwyn Changes Name to ScoZinc Mining Ltd.
(firmenpresse) - COOKS BROOK, NOVA SCOTIA -- (Marketwired) -- 09/30/15 -- Selwyn Resources Ltd. (TSX VENTURE: SWN) ("Selwyn" or the "Company") announces that it will change its name to ScoZinc Mining Ltd. and trading symbol to SZM (TSX Venture) effective Thursday, October 1, 2015.
At the Annual General Meeting in June 2015, the shareholders voted in favour of changing the name of the Company to better represent its current asset base, namely the ScoZinc zinc/lead mining operation in Nova Scotia. The mine remains in care and maintenance mode pending recovery in metal prices and a positive investment environment conducive to raising capital for the project restart.
The Company also continues to pursue opportunities to maximize the value of its ScoZinc Mine and its related exploration projects. These opportunities include, but are not limited to, the possible sale, joint venture, or other transactions with third parties. Except as required by law, the Company does not intend to disclose developments with respect to the consideration of strategic alternatives until warranted. The Company cautions that there are no assurances that any strategic alternative will be undertaken or pursued.
