Glencore International Investments Limited has Become a Co-Obligor for Glencore Canada Corporation's Notes

(firmenpresse) - TORONTO, ONTARIO -- (Marketwired) -- 09/30/15 -- Glencore Canada Corporation ("GCC") today announced that Glencore International Investments Limited, an indirect wholly-owned subsidiary of Glencore plc, has become a co-obligor of the following senior debt of GCC previously (collectively, the "Notes"): (i) US$250 million principal amount of 6.2% notes due June 15, 2035; (ii) US$250 million principal amount of 5.5% notes due June 15, 2017; and (iii) US$341 million principal amount of 6% notes due October 15, 2015.
The addition of Glencore International Investments Limited as a co-obligor was implemented by amending the trust pursuant to which the Notes were issued (the "Note Indentures"). The existing guarantees continue in effect. Computershare Trust Company of Canada (the "Note Trustee") is the trustee for the holders of the Notes under the terms of the Note Indentures.
