Nasdaq Helsinki Disciplinary Committee imposed a warning and a fine on Oriola-KD
Corporation for Breaching the Rules of the Exchange
The Disciplinary Committee of NASDAQ OMX Helsinki Ltd has imposed a public
warning and a fine of EUR 50,000 on Oriola-KD Corporation due to breaches of the
Rules of the Exchange. According the decision Oriola-KD Corporation has breached
the Rules regarding the obligation to maintain adequate administrative
procedures and to disclose corrected information in connection to the sale of
its Russian businesses without undue delay.
On December 8, 2014, the company disclosed a stock exchange release on the sale
of its Russian businesses, including an estimate of the recognized loss. In a
stock exchange release dated February 2, 2015, the amount of the loss was
revised.
The Stock Exchange has today published the decision of the Disciplinary
Committee in more detail.
Oriola-KD aims in all of its operations accurate, explicit and timely
communication following all the Rules of the Exchange. According to the opinion
of Oriola-KD the correction release was published as soon as the recognized loss
was verified in connection with the annual closing process.
Oriola-KD takes compliance with the Rules of the Exchange very seriously.
Oriola-KD has already implemented corrective actions to avoid similar situations
in the future.
