Much Needed Housing Spaces for Calgary's Homeless Serving System of Care

(firmenpresse) - CALGARY, ALBERTA -- (Marketwired) -- 10/08/15 -- Calgary is facing a critical shortage of affordable housing. The revised C4800 development by the Calgary Drop-In & Rehab Centre (CDIRC) of 79 self-contained units, 46 of which are dedicated to permanent supportive housing will add value to the homeless serving system of care by bringing on much needed housing spaces.

Ending homelessness is a collective responsibility. For all human beings, having a sense of belonging is paramount to our wellbeing and to our quality of life. To further Calgary's Plan to End Homelessness and to support the integration of additional permanent supportive housing across our city, CHF is committed to working with the CDIRC and the Community Association(s) to achieve a mutually agreeable solution on C4800 that would enhance the quality of life of all residents and the community and be to the benefit of all Calgarians.
