(firmenpresse) - Düsseldorf. Just about one in ten Germans already uses his mobile phone for cashless pay-ment. A study done by the IT inter-trade organisation Bitkom reveals this. In addition, one in three people surveyed indicated they would be comfortable changing to mobile cashless payments in future. However, there are some constraints. According to Bitkom, the relatively few terminals at the point of sale is a reason this has not been adopted by more cashless payment users. Yoyo Wallet, a significant provider of mobile cashless payment solutions in the UK and DENSO, have now demonstrated a successful cashless payment solution thanks to the increasing use of QR codes on mobile devices. The advantage: Cashless payment using mobile phones or Apple Watch is made quickly, easily and securely thus reducing waiting times at the POS. In addition, retailers can set up targeted loyalty programs for their clients by using this technology for mobile data capture. By using the QR code on mobile devices and the QK30 scanner at the point of sale, Yoyo Wallet and DENSO offer a solution for mobile data capture which provides benefits for both the retailer and customer at the same time.

As a successful developer of cashless payment, Yoyo Wallet has produced an app that users can install on their mobile devices. By scanning the QR code, customers can make cashless pay-ments at the point of sale whilst simultaneously providing data on their interests and buying hab-its. As a result, targeted special offers and discount campaigns can be sent to them. The Yoyo Wallet development team tested a variety of 2D scanners from several manufacturers and con-cluded that the DENSO QK-30 was their preferred device. The Yoyo Wallet team were won over by the QK30’s functionality, speed of data capture, accuracy and form factor.
