Veidekke to build Sky - Langangen segment of E-18
(Thomson Reuters ONE) - Today, together with Hæhre Entreprenør AS, Veidekke Entreprenør ASsigned a contract with the Norwegian Public Roads Administration tobuild a new motorway between Sky and Langangen, on the border betweenVestfold and Telemark counties. The contract sum is nearly NOK 1.1billion exclusive of VAT and is broken down 60/40 between Veidekkeand Hæhre.An 11-kilometre motorway for speeds up to 100 km/h with four lanesand a total width of 23 metres will be built. The contract alsoincludes construction of four tunnels (the longest 380 metres), two"environmental tunnels" and eight bridges (the longest 305 metres).The joint effort between Veidekke and Hæhre is organised wherebyHæhre will be in charge of earth moving and roadbed preparation,while Veidekke will carry out all remaining work, including concreteand structural work. Of the contract sum, Veidekke's 60 % shareamounts to approx.
