The technical journal 'bbr', short for 'Bänder Bleche Rohre', featured an article on the new CF+ grades from the top-class brand Hard Material Solutions by CERATIZIT in the section on innovative products and trends.
Corrosion-resistant carbide grades from Hard Material Solutions by CERATIZIT in 'bbr'(firmenpresse) - The October 2015 issue of the 'bbr', technical journal focusing on the manufacture, processing and application of strips, sheet metal, tubes and profiles, includes a report on the new corrosion-resistant CF+ carbide grades, showcased for the very first time at Blechexpo 2015 in Stuttgart.
Hard Material Solutions by CERATIZIT - new CF+ grades
The brand-new CF+ carbide grades, specially developed for the tool and die industry, feature increased transverse rupture strength and fracture toughness, thus improving process security.
Thanks to higher KIC values (critical tension intensity factor) higher cutting edge stability is ensured while maintaining the same hardness. Even with delicate active parts, the new grades guarantee reliability and stable processes thanks to increased transverse rupture strength.
Regular CF grades: extended stock range
'bbr' also mentions blocks for wire erosion with ground thickness available in all six corrosion-resistant carbide grades available from stock at Hard Material Solutions by CERATIZIT (link to: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NJXByyJEnMw&list=PLdlAdtGRWuaUOOhyzXw4cqH6PnuWOmC60&index=1) in their article. These blocks are suitable for applications with highly abrasive materials and major bending forces or edge stress in stamping, bending, blanking and forming operations.
