Gouda - Imtech (technical services provider in Europe) has won orders in the
Benelux countries worth more than 40 million euros for improving, upgrading and
expanding high-tech infrastructure in the energy-provision, public lighting and
traffic, airport and rail markets. The technical solutions to be delivered by
Imtech are energy-efficient, CO2 friendly and will make a substantial
contribution in making the infrastructure more available and as safe as
possible.

René van de Bruggen, CEO of Imtech: 'The optimal availability and safety of
technical infrastructure is becoming an ever-more important issue in our
society. As the burdens placed on infrastructure continue to increase, demands
with regard to availability and safety rise as well. In addition, extra demands
are being made concerning energy consumption and the reduction of CO2 emissions.
Technology isthe solution by which these tougher demands can be met. Imtech
enjoys a strong position in the Benelux countries and is seeing continued growth
in its infra activities.'

Intelligent networks for decentralised energy generation
Operators of electric transport and distribution networks have to deal with a
fast-changing world. Whereas electrical energy was previously transported only
to consumers, it is now becoming more frequent for users to generate electricity
and to supply it back to the network. As a result, the task of operating and
managing the network is becoming more and more complex and the burden on the
network increases. By supplying high-tech technological solutions to network
operators in the Netherlands (Tennet) and Belgium (Elia), Imtech is contributing
to reliable and intelligent decentralised energy generation networks.

Public lighting and traffic
The city of Amsterdam is one of the most densely inhabited areas in the Benelux
countries. It is not only the high population, but also the large number of

offices that is leading to an ever-increasing level of traffic. Properly
functioning and energy-efficient public lighting and high-tech traffic
facilities help make public spaces and traffic safer. Imtech has extended
existing contracts with the city of Amsterdam, and now maintains around
two-thirds of the public lighting and traffic infrastructure. Other government
bodies in the Netherlands and Belgium have awarded new contracts to Imtech for
maintaining and operating technical infrastructure for street lighting and
traffic facilities.

Sustainable runway extension at Groningen Airport Eelde
Together with Dura Vermeer, Imtech has won an order for the sustainable
extension of the runway at Groningen Airport Eelde. This concerns a DBFM (Design
Build Finance and Maintain) contract in which the present runway is to be
extended from 1,800 to 2,500 metres, and a new taxiway and platform are
constructed. The project is one of the most sustainable runway extension
projects ever, with a minimal impact on the environment, optimal consumption of
energy and materials, minimal CO2 emissions, and low levels of disturbance for
the surrounding area. Imtech is responsible for the technological part of the
contract, including runway lighting, meteorological and navigational
modifications and the related energy and communication facilities. After
completion, Dura Vermeer and Imtech will be responsible for ten years for
maintenance on the basis of an asset management approach using availability,
safety, environmental friendliness and operating cost measuring indicators.

(Light) rail
The number of passengers using the railways continues to rise. This is leading
to an expansion of the national rail network and of regional railway
connections. The frequency and density of trains is also increasing, which
requires alterations in the field of safety and energy provision. Imtech is
involved, as a technology partner, with several regional (light) rail routes in
the Netherlands.
