LaserForum 2015 at Coherent Goettingen a Resounding Success
(PresseBox) - LaserForum comprises developers, manufacturers and users in the field of laser technology and is organized annually by the micro-technology association IVAM, in conjunction with renowned partners Fraunhofer Institute for Lasertechnology, Laser Center Hannover, and Ruhr-University Bochum. Coherent Goettingen hosted this year?s meeting on December 3, 2015, which focused on ?Laser Based Innovations in the Fabrication of Microelectronics Components and Devices?.
Representatives of well-known laser-related companies and research institutions gathered at Coherent Goettingen and were warmly welcomed by IVAM general manager Dr. Thomas Dietrich and by Dr. Guido Bonati, Coherent?s Director of Business Development. Distinguished experts from industry and research addressed challenges and trends in laser technologies and laser system solutions for display and microelectronics markets. Focal points for the talks were short wavelength excimer lasers, ultrashort pulse-width lasers, and principles for optimum processing speed and quality. The fifty participants found good opportunities for cross-discipline discussions among experts in lasers, optics and systems integration.
Post conference, the attendees were given a behind-the-scenes tour of the excimer laser and optical system production facilities at Coherent Goettingen.
