Wärtsilä Corporation, Press release, 26 January 2016 at 9 am EET

Wärtsilä, a global leader in complete lifecycle solutions for the marine and
energy markets has in November 2015 signed a five-year operations and
maintenance (O&M) agreement with the Special Administrative Region of Oecusse
for the Inur Sakato power plant in the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste. The
partnership optimises the power plant's performance and lifecycle. The O&M
agreement reduces the plant's operating costs and improves financial
predictability and risk management. In addition, Wärtsilä will train the plant's
employees.

Wärtsilä takes full responsibility for plant operation and maintenance to ensure
safe, efficient and reliable availability of electricity. A Wärtsilä O&M
agreement provides comprehensive asset management to meet the customer need for
operational, management and maintenance services and performance guarantees.

The Inur Sakato power plant is one of the first established infrastructures in
Timor-Leste. The 17.3 MW power plant is the main power source for the entire
Oecusse district. The Inur Sakato plant is powered by four Wärtsilä 34DF
engines.

The dual-fuel Inur Sakato plant will run on light fuel oil but may be converted
to natural gas later on.

"Wärtsilä's extensive experience and knowledge from power plant operating and
maintenance were the key factors for this agreement that expands our
partnership. We want to have in-depth knowledge in-house and to improve our
local capability. Wärtsilä is the best partner from which to learn from," says
Lino MNC Correia of Special Administrative Region of Oecusse.

"We are excited to deepen the relationship with the Democratic Republic of
Timor-Leste. Wärtsilä as an operations and maintenance partner is able to
provide reliable supply of electricity and optimise the performance of the Inur

Sakato plant with minimum risks and costs," comments John Sydney, Director of
Wärtsilä's Service Unit Australasia.
