Capella Resources Announces Changes to Management
(firmenpresse) - VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA -- (Marketwire) -- 08/10/11 -- CAPELLA RESOURCES LTD. (TSX VENTURE: KPS)(PINK SHEETS: CPSJF) ("Capella" or the "Company") announces that effective August 10, 2011 Richard L. Bachman will resign as President and Chief Executive Officer to devote his attention to the position of Chief Geological Officer. The Board is pleased to announce that Mr. Gerald M. Aberle has been appointed President and Chief Executive Officer. Additionally, Mr. Aberle will join the board as a director and Mr. Bachman will remain on the board as director.
Mr. Aberle graduated in 1980 from South Dakota School of Mines and Technology with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mining Engineering and has over 30 years of experience in the minerals industry, including 22 years with Homestake Mining Company at the Homestake Gold Mine at Lead, South Dakota. Over the past 12 years, Mr. Aberle has consulted in the mining, underground construction and minerals exploration business, including his service to Capella as Vice President of Operations between September 2008 and June 2010. In addition, Mr. Aberle has more than 16 years of private business experience in the United States, primarily in the land development and construction industries.
Richard Bachman stated, "The Company is moving forward to increase shareholder value by focusing on its South American gold & copper assets. Mr. Aberle is already very familiar with our properties and technical team, which we believe will prove to be a significant benefit to the development of successful program strategies, particularly at Lajitas in Chile."
The appointment of Mr. Aberle as President and Chief Executive Officer is subject to approval of the TSX Venture Exchange.
