In addition to traditional sturgeon spear-fishing, activities on and off the lake will include a new and unique event for Lake Winnebago - an outdoor hockey game, as well as ice kiting, fireworks, and more. Plus, the Downtown District will host FREE entertainment, food specials, and a chili crawl. On the ice Sturgeon Spectacular activities include:
The 27th Annual Sturgeon Stampede featuring ice-kiting, wind surfing, ice bowling, live music and more - Friday through Sunday
Outdoor Sturgeon Classic Hockey Game featuring Fond du Lac Bears vs. the Monroe Blues - Saturday
U8 Mite Hockey Tournament - Saturday
Public Ice Skating (rentals available) - Friday & Saturday
"Spear The Fatty" Bike Race and Booty Adventure Run - Saturday
Dog Sled Rides - Saturday
"Fishing Has No Boundaries," sponsors a Sturgeon Spearing event specifically for individuals with physical or cognitive disabilities on Saturday, February 13, 2016. Afterward, all attendees can enjoy food, beverages, and music.
