More Than 50,000 Customers Slide Through Evergreen Wings & Waves Waterpark in Just Two Months
Nation's Only Educational Waterpark Sees Nearly 1,000 People per Day; 100,000th Visitor to Win a Party for 20 Friends

(firmenpresse) - MCMINNVILLE, OR -- (Marketwire) -- 08/10/11 -- More than 50,000 kids and adults have slid down the slides at Evergreen Wings & Waves Waterpark, the nation's only education and aviation-themed nonprofit waterpark. Since its grand opening on June 6, the waterpark in McMinnville, Ore., has served more than an average of 1,000 customers per day.
"Clearly, people from across the state and nation are having a blast while playing and learning at our new educational waterpark," said Larry Wood, executive director of Evergreen Museum. "We've even had visitors from other countries. It is truly the place to be this summer."
The 100,000th visitor, who is likely to pass through the gates sometime in early October, will receive a party for 20 friends which includes entrance into the park one hour before it opens to the public and a party in one of the waterpark's three party rooms: the Aviation Room, Marine Room or Space History Room. The prize will also include a Wings & Waves beach towel and admission into the waterpark's H20 Museum.
Evergreen Wings & Waves is the first waterpark of its kind, featuring a retired Evergreen International Airlines Boeing 747 aircraft on top of the building with four waterslides coming off either side to carry swimmers over the roof and into the water below.
Comments on the Evergreen Wings & Waves Facebook page include, "Had an awesome time yesterday at your fantastic park!!!," "Had a lot of fun at the park. The life guards were very nice," and "Our family had a blast!"
Evergreen Wings & Waves educational waterpark includes 10 waterslides, a wave pool and a children's museum dedicated to teaching visitors about the power of water. The facility features more than 70,000-square-feet of educational fun, highlighted by a massive Evergreen International Aviation Boeing 747 aircraft that rests on the top of the building. Throughout the structure, waterpark visitors learn about the power of water and its effects on society through dozens of interactive exhibits and learning tools. For more information, visit or .
