Nortek Global HVAC Launches New 95% Efficient Furnace
Model KG7SD-E Features Factory-Installed Fixed-Torque ECM Blower Motor

LOUIS, MO -- (Marketwired) -- 03/04/16 -- Nortek Global HVAC, a Nortek Company (NASDAQ: NTK) and a leading manufacturer of energy-efficient HVAC systems, has added a new furnace to its lineup. Model KG7SD-E achieves up to 95% AFUE and comes with a factory-installed fixed-torque ECM motor, making it ideal for the Canadian market where all furnaces must now include ECM motors. In addition to Canadian sales, this new furnace qualifies for local utility rebates and the U.S. federal tax credit.
The factory-installed fixed-torque ECM blower motor is programmable to 16 different speeds for both heating and cooling operation modes, so it is extremely adaptable to challenging high-static applications as well as a greater range of heating and cooling capacities.

Nortek Global HVAC's new furnace achieves up to 95% AFUE and also features:
iSEER® motor innovation for up to 1 SEER point efficiency gain in cooling on 13- and 14-SEER models
16 different blower speeds for both heating and cooling modes to meet required airflow in challenging ductwork applications
Industry leading SmartLite® technology for longer igniter life
Insulated blower compartment for noise reduction
20-second heating blower delay on startup to ensure warm duct temperature and adjustable blower off delay in heating to ensure maximum efficiency even during shutdown
60-second blower delay during cooling shutdown, again maximizing efficiencies whenever possible
Model KG7SD-E joins the company's other 95% AFUE furnaces, including a single-stage model with multi-speed non-ECM blower motor and two multi-stage models. The new upflow furnace is currently available in five sizes ranging from 54,000 BTU to 120,000 BTU. A 38,000 BTU model is expected to launch in spring 2016.
Model KG7SD-E is available in the Broan®, NuTone®, Gibson®, Kelvinator® and Philco® brands of HVAC equipment. Similar model MGC2SD-E is available in the Maytag® brand.
