Sky Bet Launch Online Sports Betting iPhone App in Time for Premier League Season
(firmenpresse) - LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM -- (Marketwire) -- 08/12/11 -- Sports betting company Sky Bet has announced the launch of its Apple iPhone and iPad app just in time for the start of the new Barclays Premier League season.
Mobile customers can browse and place online bets on over 4,000 events each week, including 750 football events and the app offers enhanced live betting and lives scores, as well as 100% secure access to customer account management.
Sky Bet's Sportsbook Mobile Product Manager Ben Kamara commented: "Mobile bettors, who already constitute 25% of our customer base, will be delighted that the app is available to download ahead of the Premier League kick-off on Saturday.
"The look and feel of the app is very similar to other popular BSkyB apps, such as that of Sky Sports News and Sky Sports Football Centre. We believe that the app is easily one of the best on the market and feedback so far suggests that users agree."
The app has been developed by Swedish company Mobenga, leaders in the development of mobile sportsbooks.

In addition to a full mobile betting service for football, customers can also stream live horse racing events straight to their iPhone or iPad with the new and improved Racing UK 'Bet to View' service. 550 horse racing events are available to bet on each week at Sky Bet and for just a GBP 1 stake, customers can watch any of the 4,000+ races each year, including the Grand National, as well as the prestigious Cheltenham Festival.
The app is available to users in the UK and Ireland and Sky Bet are offering new customers who register via the app a completely free GBP 10 bet.
