Jan Amethier is appointed new head of Corporate Finance at Handelsbanken Capital
Markets.

Jan Amethier has spent twelve years at JP Morgan in London where his positions
have included head of Nordic investment banking. He was also co-head for the
whole of European M&A operations.

In the 1990s, Jan Amethier worked at the Swedish Ministry of Industry and led
the work of nine privatisations on behalf of the Swedish government. Most
recently he was head of Nordic operations for Doughty Hanson & Co, a private
equity firm in London.

"Jan is one of the people within corporate finance with the most solid expertise
and experience of the Nordic market. This recruitment is completely in line with
our goal of continuing to be the best investment bank in the Nordic countries,"
says Per Beckman, Head of Handelsbanken Capital Markets.

Jan Amethier takes up his position on 1 December 2010.
