Janrain Hires Darryl Nicholson as VP of Engineering, Promotes Mayur Upadhyaya to VP of Customer Experience

Nicholson is a seasoned technologist with more than two decades of experience. Prior to Janrain, Nicholson was vice president of IT at Vesta Corporation, a global leader in the field of card-not-present (CNP) transactions, and managed a $5.5 billion PCI payments operation. He ran Vesta's Global Production Operations environment, Information Security and Corporate IT Services and was part of the executive team responsible for increasing revenue 10X. Nicholson, based in Portland, OR, will oversee Janrain Development and Operations and report directly to CEO .

Upadhyaya joined Janrain in 2013 and since then has held several high-profile roles within the company. As vice president of customer experience, Upadhyaya, based in London and Portland, OR, will focus on increasing customer loyalty and expanding Janrain partnerships with agencies. He will continue to have responsibility for client strategy and account renewals, and reports to Drebes. Upadhyaya was previously general manager at Glow Labs and chief architect at Magic Lantern Productions. Over his 13 year agency tenure, Upadhyaya advised clients such as Channel 4, BBC, Guardian, United Nations and Nigella Lawson.
