CEO Wolfgang Selzer goes into retirement

(PresseBox) - Wolfgang Selzer retired from Schneider Kreuznach on 31 March 2016. The 64-year-old worked for the company for 35 years, most recently as CEO responsible for the Production, Administration and Supply Chain Management divisions. The business economist began his career at the optical specialist in 1981 as controller, before becoming Head of Finance in 1993 and being given powers of attorney in 1998. Since then, he has been a member of the Management Board and was appointed co-CEO in 2014. ?Wolfgang Selzer is one of the company?s ?dinosaurs?. We are delighted that he has decided to continue working with us in an advisory capacity,? said Dr. Thomas Kessler, now sole CEO of the Schneider Group. Selzer was and still is president of various subsidiaries of the Schneider Group, was a member of the examination board of Koblenz Chamber of Industry and Commerce, and is on the supervisory board of Gewobau Bad Kreuznach. He is now looking forward to spending more time with his family and in his garden.
